Art Fairs

There are many quality art fairs where artists can sell their work.
We belong to a local artists group that supports Wisconsin artists and sponsors an art fair in Madison. Most states have art boards that provide listings, as Wisconsin does.

National Association of Independent Artists - organization that supports independent artists who mainly do art fairs.

Websites Made Simple for Artists

FineArtStudioOnline.com Here is a service that looks easy to use for those of you who are techno-phobes. Apparently, there are close to 1,000 artists already using the service. It's worth a look if you don't already have your own site.

Useful Newsletters

The Art List - Monthly e-Newsletter and searchable database listing upcoming Art Contests, Art Competitions, and Opportunities for visual artists and photographers.

Marketing Your Art

Art Exchange.com This site is a pretty good deal for artists. The cost to list your work is a one-time fee and then after that the only charge is a 10% comission for either retail or wholesale sales.

Art Exchange works primarily with interior designers so a great deal of what is sold is based upon wholesale prices but can also be higher volume due to large installations.

Other web sites where you can sell your art are Yessy and Absolute Arts.

A recent discovery is Still Point Art Gallery. One of our artist customesr recently had his work there on exhibit.

Picture Salon offers the following services for artists who have their own web site:

On-demand print orders: If you are selling your work on your own web site and want to offer giclees, we can print them as they are ordered and then "drop-ship" them directly to your customers. There is no extra charge for this service.
