Upload Your Images via the Internet

You may send up to five (5) images at a time using our upload feature.

Please note: If you have the ability to set the image to it's final size at 300 dpi we would appreciate it. If not, we can do it for you.

A separate browser or tab will open the Upload Page when you click the link below.

Once your images have begun uploading, you may return to the Order Entry page to complete your order.

We will only accept the following file types: .jpg, .tif, .psd, .pdf. Our first preference is a .tif file.

Sending files via email:

We would prefer if you send your files to us via the upload site. You may alternatively attach your images to an email (no larger than 10MB please). Please indicate how large the files are (i.e. 2,540 KB's) because some email programs and Internet providers reduce file sizes without telling you.

Sending very large files:

If you have more than five very large files (over 100MB's per file), you may upload them via FTP using free FileZilla software. Please call us for special uploading instructions.

If for any reason you are having difficulty with our upload site, please contact us during normal business hours (M-F, 8 - 5PM CST) and let us know what kind of problem you are having.

If the problem persists and it is after hours, you may use the following free file transfer service:

www.transferbigfiles.com

Please address your images to: info@picturesalon.com

Tips for sending files quickly:

Uploading images can take 1-5 minutes per MB to upload, depending upon your connection speed.

Please follow our advice to make your uploading experience as painless as possible.

Convert your file to an LZW (lossless) TIF (.tif) file.

In Photoshop, go to "save as", choose .tif and LZW. If you do not have Photoshop or a comparable program, you may also compress your files. Converting TIF (.tif) files to LZW files could cut your upload time in half! To send multiple files, you should first create a compressed archive of the files.

In Windows XP create a folder and copy the files into the folder. Then right click on the folder and go to "Send To" and select "Compressed Folder (Zip)". This will compress the files and the folder into a smaller single file, allowing you to upload that in place of each individual file.

In other versions of Windows - please get WinZip from www.winzip.com.

On the Mac you can use DropStuff (Part of StuffIt Lite) for free to create a .sit.
