Option #1: Upload via email:

We would recommend sending your files via email first, but only if your files match the following criteria:

  • They are high resolution JPEG's
  • They total less than 10MBytes per email
Also, please indicate how large the files are (i.e. 2,540 KB's) because some email programs and Internet providers reduce file sizes without telling you. Send them to:

info@picturesalon.com
Ordering Steps

Step#1: Upload your images.
Step #2: Complete order form.
Step#3: Make payment.

Sending Files Electronically:

We will only accept the following file formats: .jpg, .tif, .psd, .pdf.

Option #2: Upload Images via Internet

Picture Salon has developed its own upload site for our customers. It should work with any browser - HOWEVER, IF YOU USE A SAFARI BROWSER WE WOULD RECOMMEND SWITCHING TO FIREFOX OR INTERNET EXPLORER FOR UPLOADING.

You may send individual files or multiple files at once.

We will only accept the following file types: .jpg, .tif, .psd, .pdf. Our first preference is a .tif file.

Please be sure not to use any symbols in the file name other than an underscore (_) or a hyphen (-), otherwise they will not upload properly.

Once you see the little orange "progress bar", that means your image is being sent to our FTP site. Please return to our main site to complete your order form and payment if you have not already done so. To get started, just click the "Upload Files" image.

Click the "Upload Files" image below to begin
the process:
Upload Files

ATTENTION: You must see the little orange progress bar with your image title, otherwise, you have not properly selected the file for uploading.

Tips for sending files quickly:

Uploading images can take 1-5 minutes per MB to upload, depending upon your connection speed.

Please follow our advice to make your uploading experience as painless as possible.

Convert your file to an LZW (lossless) TIF (.tif) file.

In Photoshop, go to "save as", choose .tif and LZW. If you do not have Photoshop or a comparable program, you may also compress your files. Converting TIF (.tif) files to LZW files could cut your upload time in half! To send multiple files, you should first create a compressed archive of the files.

In Windows XP create a folder and copy the files into the folder. Then right click on the folder and go to "Send To" and select "Compressed Folder (Zip)". This will compress the files and the folder into a smaller single file, allowing you to upload that in place of each individual file.

In other versions of Windows - please get WinZip from www.winzip.com.

On the Mac you can use DropStuff (Part of StuffIt Lite) for free to create a .sit.

If for any reason you are having difficulty with our upload site, you may use the following free file transfer services:
